The Tuffie Nest

A few years after starting Tuffies, we realised that we had built up a big, loyal customer base full of people with great interest in what would come next from Tuffies. Everyone was keen to be in touch and slowly we began to get hints about "a Tuffie with sides on, please!!"

So we started to think about how to make this new product that seemed to be in demand, but not in production. It became the Tuffie Nest. The nest is just as it sounds: a really cosy place for your dog to snuggle into. Almost like a warm and private place if he curls up and tucks himself into the bed. At the same time, however, the sides are so sturdy that if he decides to keep an eye on what is going on around him, he can rest his chin on the nest sides and comfortably watch the world to make sure nothing goes him by....

                  

  Alice, above in the navy Tuffie Nest weighs about 21Kg and is happy in the 'large'. Our nest consists of three parts: The sides with a base to hold it all firmly and sturdily together. An oval cushion that sits in the base (this cushion is just like our famous flat Tuffies: waterproof fabric and a perfect little futon mattress). A Light Fleecy cover to go over the cushion like a pillow case.

To clean the nest, you just take out the cushion and put the fleecy cover in the washing machine. You can scrub the cushion down with hot, soapy water and rinse it clean, then leave it to dry naturally. To clean the sides, you will find that there is a whole lot of hairs and dust contained in the bottom after you lift the cushion out, which is great, as that would otherwise have been all over your floor and all over the house. Just shake it out or vacuum it up. If you need to wash the sides, then turn the bed inside out and wash with hot soapy water, but take care not to get too much water where the stitching lines are. Again, rinse the soap off, but don't linger the hose on the stitches.

Leave it all to dry and put your fresh Tuffie Nest back together.

         

In addition to our complete Tuffie Nest, we now also supply spare covers for the cushion. These are made from our specially commissioned Luxury Fleece material. We have had this made specially for Tuffies and it is of OUTSTANDING quality and thickness. This Luxury Fleece is 2.5 times thicker and denser than our standard Ligth Fleecy material. You can add the spare cover either when you buy the Tuffie Nest or later on.
