| About the Tuffies dog beds:
Tuffies dog beds are designed and manufactured in our workshop in Aberdeenshire, UK. Dog comfort, quality and workmanship is all we think about. We do waterproof dog beds and even a chew proof model, the Really Tough Tuffie.
First and foremost, we want to make beds that take the dogs OFF the cold floor, which is why we make a futon-style stuffing that doesn't go flat or lumpy!!! Secondly, we design the beds with covers for hygiene and easy maintenance. Both of our waterproof beds are pest inert and quick to hose down, but most importantly, hairs don't stick and smell doesn't linger. If machine washing is what you like, we do soft covers to fit on the waterproof Tuffies, which you can quickly machine wash. In the winter time these are particularly popular.
Cleaning:
For the waterproof beds, a quick shake or brush down is enough most of
the time. If badly soiled, simply hose or wipe
clean.
The stuffing:
Most other dog beds have loose filling, which steadily migrates outwards and leaves the dog on practically nothing in the middle. NOT Tuffies!! Tuffies dog beds contain a futon-type mattress, so nothing moves and the mattress does not go flat or lumpy. The even support and insulation from the floor is perfect.
Durable versus chew proof:

Soft Covers
The vast majority (about 75%) of our customers buy a wipe-clean
or woven-surface waterproof Tuffie on its own. However, for extra warmth or to accommodate more thin-coated dogs
we also offer the optional Light Fleecy covers and the thick Fluffie Tuffie covers, which fit on to the waterproof Tuffies. Our soft, 3 cm deep piled polyester-fur (Fluffie
Tuffie cover) have proven hugely popular as
they give softness and comfort at the same time
as being fabulously easy to machine-wash and
dry. A lighter, soft cover version is the
Light Fleecy Tuffie cover, which is thinner and even quicker to wash and dry.

Dear Tuffies
One large Tuffie nest arrived earlier this month for my golden who spends a lot of time in the car and really feels the cold. The nest is fantastic – no more worrying about him being cold, or his bed getting wet & muddy. And as you can see from the pictures- my golden is in heaven!! I wish I had discovered Tuffies years ago!

Sorry not to have come back to you sooner.
I ordered a “cheaper” dog bed for our two year old labs – who are now past the chewing stage. It arrived and to my horror the outer cover was great but inside was a double sized duvet folded in half. What a nightmare!! Awkward to put in and out of the cover and I could see it was going to go flat and not withstand the test of time. It was quickly sent back. Decided the new boys needed Tuffies like our other two dogs. I placed an order for a large Tuffies bed just before Christmas. I cannot thank you enough for ensuring my dogs received their Tuffies bed justbefore going into kennels. We have four gundogs and on our 3rd Tuffies bed. The large one easily accommodates the two brothers in their kennel.
They are brilliant beds, hard wearing, great to hose off and quick to dry. A really dependable product. Expensive outlay but you know it is going to last the test of time. Well done and great service too.

Our Tuffie bed + fleecy covers has arrived safely much to the delight of my two Deerhounds who now have a Tuffie each. The first one I puchased about a year ago and it is still like brand new despite being in constant use....Deerhounds can be very lazy !!! I always recommend Tuffies to all my doggie friends. These lovely beds not only provide great comfort but because of the high quality, they offer great support to these large hounds long limbs,neck and spine.The whole body is evenly supported during sleep.
