THE LINER: This is an absolutely storming way to revolutionise your old, tatty plastic dog bed. The Tuffie liner is made from our thick, strong and easily washable Luxury fleece. It fits into your plastic bed and is securely fastened with a cord that grips under the bed’s lip. Your dog can move and tumble round his bed, but the liner will still be there. This secures a warm, padded bed, where he is far more comfortable and will also be happier resting his head on the softened edge.
THE PADDING: You can either purchase the liner on its own or you can add the removable pad as well. If you just buy the liner, you can use it as it comes or you can put your own little piece of fleece or pillow in the pocket in the base. If you prefer, you can also purchase the liner-pad, which will be supplied, fitted, with the liner. The padding option is absolutely ideal as you can separate liner and padding when you wash them so that washing is more effective and the drying is quicker.
SIZING: The liners are sized according the length of the plastic bed’s base. So you simply turn your plastic bed over and measure the longest length (it’s often written on it anyway). If, for example it is 61cm, you choose the liner size “Base: 56 – 65cm”. Once you have added it to your basket, you can pick the same size padding or just add your own. Simple as that.

COVER:This waterproof material has a smooth surface like a waxed jacket, with a little "tackiness" that makes it feel secure. With time it becomes softer like a subtle leather without losing its waterproof excellence.

CLEANING: As mud and hairs just dry up and fall off, cleaning is not a big issue. If the bed is badly soiled, you can clean it with hot, soapy water and just hose down and towel dry. Small accidents can be cleaned up using your normal household surface cleaner. Great for freshening things up without even moving the bed....
DURABLE, but not chew proof: Again, like the Woven Tuffie below, Tuffies are tough, but keen chewers or sharp puppy teeth can still chew any fabric that you can cut with scissors!! Our Luxury Fleece is 2.5 times thicker, denser and heavier than our "Light Fleecy" fabric. Pick a Luxury Fleece cover for your Tuffie bed and make it into an easily maintained and hygienic luxury dog bed. The Luxury Fleece covers close with poppers at one end and you can wash it at 50C in the washing machine .........it comes out like new.

This is our lighter version of our extra, optional, covers. A light fleece-cover made in pillow case style so you just slip the waterproof bed into it. The pile is 0.7cm, so not as deep as the above Fluffie Tuffie. However, this is a super quick wash'n'dry option just to give your dog a little extra comfort. Read more
This optional extra cover is exceptionally useful for the wet winter dogs. It is a highly technical "spacing fabric": Two strong honey-comb open-weave polyester fabrics sandwich a strong, very open spacing material that does not flatten. When your wet dog goes on his Tuffie with the Wicking cover on, the water runs off the dog, quickly through the cover and leaves the dog "high and dry". The water will evaporate from the waterproof Tuffie in its own time. The Tuffie stuffing is dry and your dog is dry. The cover is perfect for the wet autumn and winter days. This material is commissioned specially for Tuffies and is 2.5 times heavier and thicker than our Light Fleecy material. A truly cosy and top quality fleece. Add the extra cover to your basket along with your Tuffie Nest or buy it on its own if you already have a Tuffie Nest.
This Tuffie Nest fits an adult Great Dane (or a great number of other dogs together). We decided to put it in our web shop in its own category as it is seriously large. This nest weighs around 18 Kg and is not something you want to lift around the house too often. It is constructed exactly like our other loved nests: a sturdy surround made from strong, waterproof fabric with cushioning padding. In the middle is the waterproof cushion with a futon mattress inside. This middle pad comes with a Luxury Fleece, which can be taken off for washing.
