Large Dog Beds

The Tuffies really stand out when you are looking for dog beds for large dog breeds.

The big problem with large dogs is that you need a bed that will support them properly, so you need a well padded, heavy base. Then, when that gets dirty and you want to get rid of the smell, you are faced with a huge monstrosity that you can't get in the washing machine. The usual end to this is that it gets thrown out and a new one purchased, which means that the costs mount up over the years.

Our futon mattress gives perfect support for the dog and no matter how long he lives on the mattress, it will never go lumpy as nothing can move around inside. The strong waterproof cover ensures that the stuffing is protected from damp, dirt and hence smell or mould. The Tuffie never has to go in a washing machine, in fact it is far, far too large and heavy for that.

Our waterproof covers are so efficient that dog hairs and mud simply dry up and fall off, but of course, in time you may want to give it a good clean, which is so easily done by washing the whole bed down with hot, soapy water and a good rinse.

All of our beds can be purchased with an optional, extra cover: We supply the thick, Fluffie Tuffie, which is like a vet-bed type cover and we supply the Light Fleecy cover. The difference between them is that the Fluffie Tuffie is thicker, heavier and more durable, but the Light Fleecy is cheaper and quicker to wash and dry.
