Tuffies can offer a little piece of the Scottish Highlands for your holidays. We have finally got Ballindalloch Cottage ready to be offered as a holiday let and if you are looking for some real peace and quiet and some fresh mountain air, this little gem could be all you need to relax and recharge your batteries.
Ballindalloch Cottage sleeps 4 (+ 2 on sofa bed). It sits a couple of miles South of Loch Ness in Inverness-shire at the foothills of the Monadhliath Mountains. Far from any neighbours as you can see from the picture below:
The cottage has two acres of ground with a fence round it, originally designed to keep the sheep and Highland Cattle out of the garden, but it will also keep most dogs in, so you can let your hounds enjoy their holiday in the garden if they are not the extremely jumpy ones.
The cottage was originally part of the Farraline Estate and has now been modernised to the highest standard.
Only 15 steps from the kitchen door are our brand new kennels. Two spacious, fully insulated sleeping areas (with Tuffie beds in of course) and two upstairs open beds with a Tuffie on each. The two acre garden is fenced with sheep fencing as picture shows above and we have also installed an e-invisible Freedom Fence if you feel safer using this.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs (one double room and one twin room)
Double bed room:
Downstairs there is an extra toilet, a lounge/dining room, a kitchen and another sitting room with TV.
TV room/ Sofa-bed room:
Dining and sitting room:
The area is fabulous for walking and the usual code of conduct obviously applies when it comes to dogs on the leads. There are sheep, deer, hares and ground nesting birds (Curlews, grouse, sky larks, pheasants etc etc) and this area is dominated by large sporting estates, where it is paramount to show respect for their wild life management and field sport. Within short driving range there are many Forestry Commision areas where dog walking will also be possible.
Right round the cottage you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Highland Cattle (pay respect when they have calves as they can be protective):
The breath taking Monadhliath Mountains speak for them selves.
